About Obesity
  • What is Obesity?

There are various definitions of obesity. In general, if a person's bodyweight is at least 20% higher than it should be, he or she is considered obese. In other words, a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 to 30 is considered overweight, while any BMI of over 30 is considered obese.

Obesity results from a complex interaction of genetic, behavioral and environmental factors and is often out of one’s direct control.

  • Can Obesity be Cured Naturally?

Sometimes, a dent can be done using natural cures. Primary methods are Changed Diet and increased exercise. If diet and exercise are not enough, procedures like Lap Band or Sleeve Gastrectomy can be considered as a viable cure for obesity.

  • What is Body Mass Index?
