The Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band procedure or the Lap-Band surgery, was designed to help people control their weight with real results, after studies have show that diet and exercise was not enough for some people. The Lap Band procedure involves using a silastic band to create a smaller stomach that in turns causing patients to become full after eating a smaller portion of food, therefore loosing the weight they desire with real lasting results.
